A Reflection Of 2018

2018 has been another year where Moonlight Trust has proudly worked tirelessly to provide aid to those in need and raise awareness about the refugee crisis. We would like to take a moment to celebrate Moonlight Trust’s best moments in 2018!

We supplied food, clothing, emergency aid, educational and medical support as well as employability skills for some of the world's poorest and deprived communities. We provided aid in camps in Greece, Turkey/Syria, Palestine, Pakistan, France.

Moonlight Trust supported Rohingya via building shelters and providing emergency supplies worth £35000 for the refugees.

Through our Ramadhan Projects, we fed over 500 homeless, Syrian and Palestinian refugees a day. This year we also supported Green Street Project to make refugees camps look more like homes, the Sewing Machine Project for Syrian women, as well as renovating a women's only courtyard for female refugees suffering from trauma.

We continued our support for food banks in Batley and Dewsbury.

Moonlight Trust was recognised at the House of Commons Reception, gaining the support of 6 shadow ministers, who joined us as Ambassadors.

We expanded our involvement in diversity work and launched our biggest initiative which brought together people from all walks of life.

We delivered refugees awareness sessions across Yorkshire including in Schools, Universities and community events which received recognition from the mainstream media.

Our BARA Rugby boys brought the Italy Vs BARA Moonlight trophy home!
Our Ambassadors, with the lead of Saarah Hyder, conquered Snowden Trek and raised nearly 10k for Refugees in camps.
