If you are based in Kirklees and need support please get in touch. With nearly 9000 beneficiaries, which included School children, elderly, registered disabled, single moms, the homeless to victims of domestic abuse. We are honoured to be in a position where we are able to continue to serve our community at the front line in such desperate times of need.
UK Crisis Response has to date:
- - Collected left over food from 6 other charities and food banks to avoid food wastage, working in collaboration with charity partners and community groups.
- - Provided mental health/counselling and referral support
- - Provided employment support and training towards building resilience and employability skills
- - One off grant payments towards household costs and energy costs for some of the most vulnerable groups
- - Provided winter survival kits (Bags of Blessings) for homeless
- - Received and acted on referrals by Head teachers from 5 different schools in the local area
All of this could not have been achieved without our amazing team and donations from the public. We have the help of 50 Volunteers and partnerships with local community groups. Our teams have continued to serve at the front-line no matter how challenging the circumstances.
