In Loving Memory of Aylan Kurdi

Four years have passed since the tragic death of Aylan Kurdi which shocked the world, and yet it seems that nothing has changed. After the devastating event, we at Moonlight Trust pledged to support boat rescue missions at the Agean Sea. However, it deeply saddened us when we retrieved from a boat a one-year old boy, who was close to drowning and whose Mother faced unthinkable trauma and pain.

There are children like Aylan Kurdi every day who drown on their way to what they hope is a life free from war and poverty. We cannot sit by and do nothing as innocent lives are lost in what is the most devastating humanitarian crisis the world has witnessed.

Moonlight Trust will continue to provide aid to the most vulnerable and raise awareness of the atrocities refugees fight against daily – we will never stop. Together we can brighten lives.
