Our renowned Women's Coffee, Careers, and Cuppa Club is back, and it's bigger and better than before! Our club is open to women from Ethnic Minority Women backgrounds based within West Yorkshire and now offers free online classes, for ease, comfort, and practicality.
This club is one of the key projects initiated by our CEO Noushin Raja to support other women from ethnic minority backgrounds to reach their goals and aspirations. The programme aims to support women who are economically inactive especially the most underrepresented groups with building confidence, employability skills, and resilience.
Woking alongside Noushin will be Sarah Autumn, a climate change activist, speaker and coach, and proud ambassador of Moonlight Trust - we can guarantee you will be in safe hands!
The structure of the workshops is designed to encourage women to find their way back into business, employment and volunteering, or to simply enable them to be a better and stronger version of themselves. So far 95% of our participants have successfully moved into progression via securing paid employment or moving into HE or professional training and qualifications as well as volunteering opportunities.
For one of our first sessions, we will be having our guest speaker Lesley Whiting hold a ‘Resilience and Confidence Building’ masterclass!
Below are some of the great achievements of the newest addition to our line-up of inspirational guest speakers:
- Lesley holds an M.ED in Practice of Community Education, a PGCE in Lifelong Education, and a Certificate in Leadership and Management.
- She is a highly skilled and dynamic learning and development professional with a successful career in the public and voluntary community development sector.
- Lesley is incredibly passionate about supporting and developing people and combines her effective delivery skills with the ability to nurture strong working relationships with colleagues and learners.
Our Women’s Career and Cuppa Club can offer women who need support the key materials to protect themselves, boost their self-esteem, and become independent - we can help you stay strong whilst you face challenging circumstances, and inspirational women like Lesley Whiting are instrumental in assisting us.
