Zarina Begam is a hero.
At 54 years old, Zarina runs a small-scale grocery store in Bahawalnagar and has done for the last 2 years. Her husband is a retired employee of DHQ and also helps with the running of the store.
However, as strong-willed and resilient as the couple is, the dire economic and political situation is wearing them down and Zarina and her husband are struggling to meet their household expenses, as well as to provide for their dependents.
Zarina Begam is a hero.
But she needs your help.
To support her family, Zarina’s grocery store requires an expansion to bring in higher earnings and offer more security for the family. She urgently needs some investment to do this, and so Moonlight Trust is asking for your continued support via providing us with donations.
Zarina’s story is part of our wider campaign to help some of Pakistan's poorest families rebuild their lives post the Covid-19 pandemic. Each family needs £400/£500 to be able to achieve a means of sustainable living.
