Project Etelas

Moonlight Trust is proud to have Sponsored Project Etelas; Gardening and Herb Project. The project focused on improving the livelihood of 1,500 refugees who lived in overcrowded camps where there were poor hygiene standards. The beginning of the Green Streets project started a year ago, when ten families living on the same street came together to improve their outdoor living space. The refugees built flower planters and made other aesthetic improvements, inspiring other families to follow their lead.

With the residents, Project Etelas volunteers built more than 175 planters, covering roughly 50% of the camp, and with a delivery of 500 plants delivered to 100 houses, the refugees were overcome with happiness.
