We are delighted to announce that we have secured support from The Phoenix Fund via the Global Fund for Children and The National Lottery Community Fund!
The Phoenix Fund was established with the support of The National Lottery Community Fund and Global Fund for Children. The £1.4 million commitment from The National Lottery Community Fund was made possible thanks to National Lottery players and makes available £1 million in grants to Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities across England and a further £400,000 to support development of the fund.
Global Fund for Children partners to build a world where all children and youth enjoy equal resources and opportunities in society and live free from violence, discrimination, and exploitation. To that end, GFC invests in innovative local organisations, helping them deepen their impact and build their capacity for social change. Together, GFC and its partners advance the rights of children and youth facing poverty and injustice and equip them with the tools and skills to reach their full potential. Since 1997, Global Fund for Children has invested $44 million in more than 700 organisations, reaching more than 11 million children and youth worldwide.
Over 3000 families have been supported so far with our help and your support, and now that we will join the thousands of organisations benefitting from The Phoenix Fund, we hope to brighten many more lives.
The Phoenix Fund will further allow us to sustain our charitable activities in one of the most difficult times including our front-line Covid Crisis support for some of the most vulnerable and hardest hit communities during the pandemic. Moonlight Trust will continue to be at the forefront of supporting those in need with a team of over 50 volunteers, community members, and local councillors; together we can do so much more.
