A brief outline of all the Moonlight Trust projects in 2022;
Greece Blanket Project - Refugees in the Greece camps were provided with blankets, which had the most impact during the winter and summer months.
Ukraine - Emergency medical supplies were delivered for the victims of the Ukraine war.
Calais Food Projects - We provided food packs for over 3,000 refugees in Calais.
Bangladesh - We provided food packs for over 3,000 Rohingya refugees in camps.
Afghanistan - Provided food packs and winter support packages.
UK Refugee Support - We provided food, hygiene and sanitary products for refugees in UK hotels.
UK Household Support & Food Programme - We responded to local crises by launching new initiatives such as; providing food and employability support for families hit hardest by the financial hardships. Offered emergency support by providing support towards food, electricity, gas and other household expenses.
UK Womens Employability and Support Projects - we reached our 100 participants milestone of women going through our employability and support projects.
Campaigning - We have continued to reach thousands of individuals who needed our help and support through our campaigning and educational work. We delivered workshops from Yorkshire to Bekshire and participated in discussions. Including a range of guest speaking sessions on raising awareness of the refugee crisis from the BBC, Desborough College in Berkshire, Skipton Academy to Leeds University. The list continues with our live insta talks hosted by renowned guest speakers from national and global platforms.
To summarise, we supported nearly 10,000 people from the UK, refugees in Ukraine, Calais, Greece, Bangladesh, Pakistan & Afghanistan. Our beneficiaries included people fleeing war & persecution, earthquake and flood victims, survivors of domestic abuse and those most affected due to social/economic deprivations in the UK and across the globe.
