We sponsored Sewing machines for sewing workshops in Camp Eleonas, in Athens which hosts over 1600 refugees, mainly from Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine and Iran with the help of our partner project Elea.
As a professional tailor in Afghanistan Masouds skills and experience have proved invaluable to the participants of the sessions. From mending clothes to designing and creating new outfits, just offering access to sewing machines can be empowering in itself.
Through his work with our team Masoud has since gone on to find a job in this profession, and we couldn’t be prouder of his achievements! Since then Mina has taken up the role of managing our workshops and is doing an incredible job too.
